ABOUT THIS SHOW
RAW is a show without a porpoise. A purpose, excuse me. RAW is a show without a purpose. It explores what it means to know oneself in a technological world full of (mis)information. Interwoven stories explore the process of self-identification while simultaneously questioning the very notion of ever knowing oneself, or anything, for that matter. ‘‘Life is finding the chaos that’s bearable.’’
ABOUT THE ARTISTS
Chris Gallerani graduated from Dartmouth College in June 2015, majoring in theater and minoring in music. In addition to training as an actor and musician, Chris studied theater history and the ways in which feminist and queer theory inform the content and structure of performance art. His senior honors thesis, #werq: a queer journey, was performed at Dixon Place in April 2016. He moved to New York in October, where he now works a lot of part time jobs and creates random things in his living room, all while trying to understand: what is happening?
Diane Chen is a multidisciplinary filmmaker and theater artist. Her directing endeavors focus on telling the stories of the underrepresented and Othered in striking visual images and movement, and in examining the moments between the text. Recent credits include productions at Exquisite Corpse Company, Scrap Mettle Arts, The Habitat, Ivy Theatre Company, Columbia University, HERE Arts Center, Dixon Place, JACK. Co-founder of Multihyphenate Productions LLC, founded with fellow Dartmouth alums Olivia Baptista and Amber Porter, set to premiere their webseries Here We Wait later this fall.
