Upon his passing in 1993, horror film immortal Vincent Price entered a place he had represented extensively in the movies: HELL. Because he played so many evil creatures, it was decided he should spend eternity in the fiery pits. Luckily for him, the Mormons — because of his brilliant portrayal of Joseph Smith in the biopic, "Brigham Young" — petitioned for an upgrade. Heaven and Hell the decided they would give Mr. Price a a spirit guide (who looked like a younger version of himself) to navigate the seven sins outlined in Dante’s "Purgatorio." Philosophical waxing and slapstick sound effects ensue. Price is forced to look back at a life and a career which have become inextricably intertwined. What makes a man? What makes a showman? What makes a soul? Vincent Price is about to find out in this new radio play by Drew Pisarra. The cast features Jmar Reid and Mike Pinney as the two Vincents with a surprise guest as God. Douglas Wagner directs.
This special event is financed in part by public funds from the NYC Dept. of Cultural Affairs, the New York City Council, and the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council. Additional funding made possible by the family of our late Board Member, Bruce Kessler.
