“What is this thing called love?” A question asked by Cole Porter and countless others. “Why should it make a fool of me?” In the shadow of Valentine’s Day, enjoy a weaving of tales and music through a journey of love, loss, joy, heartbreak, relationships, realities and absurdities.
Having enjoyed a rewarding career in theater and the arts spanning multiple decades (gulp) and multiple continents, Sharon Kay returns to the Aurora Fox stage to present an evening of song and stories.
Sharon Kay has performed in theaters and concert venues all over the world. Her experience has allowed her to tour many countries in Europe, twice in the U.S. and to work in professional theaters all over the country as a singer, actress and dancer. At The Aurora Fox, Sharon Kay appeared in “Priscilla, Queen of the Desert,” “Catch Me If You Can,” and “Xanadu.” Locally she has also been seen at The Arvada Center, Lake Dillon Theatre Company, Country Dinner Playhouse, The Denver Civic Theater, Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center, Cherry Creek Theater and The Lone Tree Arts Center. Other theaters include Papermill Playhouse, Cincinnati Playhouse, Repertory Theater of St. Louis, Pioneer Theatre Company, Peterborough Players and Surflight Theatre. Sharon Kay has received multiple nominations and awards for her work in the theatre.
