Does donating a kidney make you a hero? Comedian and living kidney donor Amanda Nicastro isn't so sure even though the transplant center gave her a certificate calling her one. In 2014, Amanda donated a kidney for her sister yes, FOR her sister. They aren't blood type matches, so they had a paired donation with another duo, and wouldn't you know it ... the other donor and recipient turned out to be HUGE Trump supporters. That's just one of the many challenges our "hero" faced along with carrying her urine on the subway, having blood drawn by needle-happy nurses and ultimately literally giving her body to save two lives. Im Just Kidneying takes a whimsical look into the process of living kidney donation and pokes holes into the idea of what it takes to be hero material.
