#1 “Atmosphere”
A powerful yet very tender piece, that explore human vulnerability and how our nature depends on the atmosphere for our existence, for our life…Yet, we are exploring Space looking for an existence there… It is both exciting to be able to control flying in the atmosphere or in space, but still kind of scary to think what would happen if Earths Atmosphere would be destroyed…
Our beautiful planet Earth ‘s Atmosphere is such a unique blend, that has the
necessary balance to maintain Life… We have a wonderful and wonderous
planet that provides us with a life sustaining atmosphere, without it we can’t
breathe… So how should it be, if we took care of it better?!
#2 " Magnifique"
My nightmarish dreams about the magnificent force of life, that sustains our strive for utopian existence on Earth... my anxiety thoughts of this force of life becoming weaker with more catastrophic and dystopian existence... So far it seems like nature still have a strong life force to repair itself, to grow back which I find wonderfully impressive and beautiful.
(Let's hope it can be given the chance to stay that way?)
#3 “ I Love You "
is inspired by and wants to make awareness about the importance of the human need of feeling loved.
Since the first breath we take, we depend on being loved… As children the most important thing we need for our development is to feel loved, safe, even as adults we need to feel love to be happy and healthy.
The most important words there is might be:
“ I love you” !
- Founded in 2013, the NYC based Hanna Q Dance Company has been performing
original works ever since. The Swedish born and raised Artistic Director and
Choreographer, Johanna LjungQvist-Brinson, draws inspiration from the forces
of nature and uses its elements to create dynamic narratives through movement.
The choreography is comprised of technically rigorous movement, derived from
Johanna’s background in Dunham technique, as well as partnering at once
intricately acrobatic and viscerally human. The dancers express bursts of
passion and athleticism, sweeping the audience into a different world full of
emotions. The company has performed in venues mostly in NYC, including Dixon
Place, Jazz at Lincoln Center, Brooklyn Dance Festival, TADA!Theater, The
Actors Fund Arts Center, Green Space, New York Live Arts, The Triskelion Arts,
NY City Center, Abrons Arts Center,The 14th Street Y Theater and West End
Theater.
The Theresa Lang Theater is at 221 East 71st Street, New York, NY.
