Gi60: International One Minute Theatre Festival: Live US Edition at The Tank NYC

NYC, May 10, 2024 – The 20th annual Gi60: International One Minute Theatre Festival: Live US, in collaboration with The Tank NYC, a home for emerging artists - is back LIVE in NYC from May 15-19, 2024.

With authors from Toronto to Temeculah, and Great Britain to Brooklyn, this rich collection of stories captures life's unique moments through the eyes of lovers, dreamers, and mischievous dinosaurs.

In honor of our 20th anniversary, Gi60 US will present 40 of our best-loved Classic plays from the Archives, and 20 new plays for a total of 60 plays written by playwrights from around the world and performed by seventeen intrepid actors in a single evening - with a bonus 61st play:  the final episode of Ira and Irving, our friends from the Cretaceous! 

Since 2004, Gi60 has dedicated itself to the creation and support of one minute plays to provide opportunities for playwrights and theatre artists from the global community. Gi60 produces over 100 new plays annually - 50 in the US, 50 in the UK (and more in special regional events) - and has premiered over 2000 plays written by diverse voices from around the world; available for viewing on the Gi60 YouTube Channel. • Proceeds go to the Mike Flanagan Fellowship and the Christopher Thomasson Fellowship, which will support one or more early career directors/theater makers to create original work at The Tank
