As a part of the 2019 APAP Conference, TWEED TheaterWorks and Dixon Place will present the 2nd Annual FULL DISCLOSURE, an evening of song, theater and comedy showcasing three artists on one bill presenting 20 minutes each.
NANCY GILES
This writer, performer and part-time pundit performs excerpts from her shows Black Comedy: The Wacky Side of Racism and Notes of a Negro Neurotic. Nancy Giles, Emmy Award-winning contributor to "CBS News Sunday Morning", was seen Off-Broadway recently in The New Group’s Good For Otto by David Rabe. She won a Theatre World Award for the satirical musical Mayor and two Gracie Awards for talk radio’s "Giles and Moriarty"; toured with Chicago’s famed Second City; and created four solo shows with director Ellie Covan. She is a regular guest on MSNBC; curates and hosts The Mosquito, a monthly variety show at Dixon Place; and has a podcast, The Giles Files.
JOHN KELLY
Down To You: John Kelly Sings Joni Mitchell is a concert version of John Kelly’s acclaimed tribute to the music of Joni Mitchell. This ‘drag free’ version focuses on songs from the various stages of Mitchell’s extensive songwriting career. Kelly sings in his signature 3 octave voice, plays her unique guitar open tunings and also plays the dulcimer Joni gave him upon first witnessing his performance. Music Direction and piano by Zecca Esquibel.
CLEO BERLIN
The audacious Filipina drag diva Cleo Berlin presents her one-woman variety show, Cleo Berlin: LIVE! Join Ms. Berlin and her assistant Becky as they weave sketch comedy, live music, and multi-media madness! A zany and fast-paced show that guarantees to test the boundaries set by the lack of Asian-American visibility. Berlin is a multi-talented drag performer from Brooklyn who performs around the city at galas, local pubs, and street corners. Highlights include Bushwig 2018, HOT! Festival, and TWEED's Sundays at Seven Performance Series at Pangea. A gal for any occasion.
