Dear Diary LOL "Hit of Ice Factory 2018"! at New Ohio Theatre

Dear Diary LOL is critically-acclaimed comedic play born verbatim from the real-life tween-teen diaries of the show's creators. This hilarious ensemble of women invites you to cringe, laugh, and cry at their most earnest desires, deepest fears, secret shames, and terrible poetry written as coming-of-age girls in the late 90s/early 2000s.

Antigravity has had the privilege of performing for young people in the past three productions runs we’ve had in September 2017, January 2018, and July 2018. As an ensemble, we’ve connected with and heard from some of these young audience members after the shows. Quotes from previous young audience members include:

Antigravity considers the show to be PG-13. Budding female sexuality is a theme of the work. There’s talk about sex and desire, and some strong language is occasionally used. These 3 moments constitute the raciest of it: A back of the bus scene where the actors are facing upstage and mime a hand job, this dialogue: “We hook up all the time, he touches everything. Well I’m not gonna go into detail just I’ve given him a bj he ate me out and we had dry sex and we’ve done everything before that,” and this dialogue: “And then the guys were being gross. They were all describing how a girl masturbates & how to finger one! Ugh! And then they talked about p*rn shows!”
