Join us for a night of comedy, music and more in support of CubaAMP: an organization working to empower Cubans in Cuba to take back the narrative about the island's present and future helping the rest of the world learn what libertad means to the people who yearn for it most.FEATURING:Joanna HausmanAlise MoralesAlexis GuerreroIrene MoralesJoey Dardanowith a dance piece choreographed by Samantha PazosThe Amplificacin Media Project, or CubaAMP, has one simple mission: to translate into English the media created and uploaded to the internet by the Cuban people. We believe that access to internet and video recording capabilities has introduced a new powerful weapon in the fight for freedom in Cuba, but the language creates an inherent barrier to entry to that content. English being the pervasive international language, CubaAMP seeks to amplify the messaging of the Cuban people by providing simple, direct translations. While we stand opposed to the regime of the Cuban government, this project is unaffiliated with any group, organization, or government. We have no opinions other than that solidarity with the Cuban people is paramount and language justice is social justice, meaning every person has a right to be heard.SHOW INFO:Doors 9:00 PM, show 9:30 PM.Tickets $15 in advance, $20 at the door, $10 livestream.COVID POLICIES:As we re-open we're doing everything we can to keep our audience, performers, and staff safe and are complying with all Covid regulations. As part of this, all attendees must present proof of full vaccination to enter.
