Join us for a night of workshop experimentation with Beth Henley's Pulitzer Prize Winning Play, Crimes of the Heart. This Southern gothic family drama takes on a fresh perspective under the imaginative direction of Albert Rudnitsky, Moscow Art Theatre graduate, award-winning theatre and filmmaker, and recent Russian dialogue consultant and script supervisor of Sean Baker's Palme d'Or winning Anora.
Featuring Natalie Austin (Fostered, Pacific Resident Theater) as Lenny, Lindsey Normington* (Anora) as Meg, Audrey Rose Arnold* (A Clown Story) as Babe, Mary Neely (Or Something) as Chick, Sheldon Donenberg* (Henry IV, Shakespeare Theatre Co LA) as Barnette ) and introducing Ben Peters as Doc.
Motherfather Productions, a fiercely independent theater and film company based in New York City, presents this two-night limited engagement. Productions include A Clown Story (featuring Andrey Burkovskiy), DRUNKS (adapted from Ivan Vyrypaev's play "The Drunks"), Mama (Budapest International Short Film Fest). UPCOMING: an comedy episodic featuring Matthew Danger Lippman & Betsey Brown.
