New York Casting Director and Producer Stephen DeAngelis returns with BROADWAY SPOTLIGHT, an all-new celebration of classic and contemporary Broadway. Four of the finest performers from “The Great Bright Way” will recreate their most memorable musical moments, share backstage behind-the-scenes anecdotes and conduct an enlightening and entertaining question and answer session with the audience. The evening will include musical selections from Hamilton; Dear Evan Hansen; Les Misérables; Miss Saigon; Into the Woods; Frozen; The Sound of Music; Carousel; Jesus Christ Superstar; Newsies; Camelot and more!
EMILY BAUTISTA is best known for her portrayal of Kim in Miss Saigon both in the show’s most recent Broadway revival and on the company’s National tour. She also starred as Eponine in the the North American touring company of Les Misérables. Most recently she has been seen in London at the Hackney Empire in the world premiere of Vanara the musical and as Lenina in the developmental reading of the musical adaptation of Brave New World. Current television credits include Elodie in Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin.
LISA HOWARD most recently returned to New York after playing The Witch in Into the Woods at the famed Guthrie Theatre. She also played Madame Morrible in the National Tour of Wicked. She appeared on Broadway as Jenny in It Shoulda Been You (2015 Drama Desk Award nominee and is remembered for her show-stopping performance from that show at the Tony Awards (Outstanding Actress in a Musical; 2015 Drama League Awards nominee: Distinguished performance). Other Broadway credits include Escape to Margaritaville; Priscilla Queen of the Desert; 9 to 5 The Musical; South Pacific and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee for which she received a Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Ensemble Performance. She toured the US in the national company of Les Misérables, where she played many performances as Madame Thernardier, and has played leading roles regionally at Pittsburgh CLO, St. Louis MUNY, Olney Theatre Center, Human Race Theater and Kansas City Starlight.
JOSH TOWER recently completed a multi-year run as Aaron Burr in Hamilton. Broadway credits include Motown the Musical (Berry Gordy); The Lion King (Simba); School of Rock and Ragtime. National Tours include Miss Saigon (John). Regional credits include Camelot (Lancelot), Clybourne Park (Albert/Kevin), Jesus Christ Superstar (Judas), Parade (Jim Conley), Les Misérables (Enjolras), Dreamgirls (Curtis), Once on This Island (Daniel) and Bad Boys of Broadway. Television: Law & Order: SVU, Blue Bloods, The Rainmaker.
SAM PRIMACK is a native of Phoenix, AZ and comes straight from the Broadway and National Tour casts of Dear Evan Hansen where he has spent the last year playing Evan Hansen. Sam was also honored to close out the show as Evan on Broadway in September 2022. Past credits include The Addams Family National Tour (Pugsley Addams), Catch Me If You Can (Frank Jr.), Spring Awakening (Moritz), American Idiot (Johnny), and he is also 2017 Jimmy Award finalist. He was also a part of the casts of Newsies, Nine, A Christmas Story, and Gypsy for the Phoenix Theatre Company. Sam is grateful for amazing friends, teachers and his incredibly supportive family.
