Technology has come a long way, from brick-and-mortar gambling hubs to mobile casino games. Nevertheless, are physical casinos still in operation? The answer is yes. No level of sophisticated live casino online technology can replace human interaction. And, another reason that punters go to physical casinos is to enjoy line performances from bands, musicians, and choreographers. Let’s have a look at some popular shows that take place at casino resorts.

“Le Rêve" at Wynn Las Vegas

This show is bigger and brighter than any other you have ever imagined. It took place at the Wynn Las Vegas casino resort and aired for the first time on May 6th, 2005. The show was set in an aquatic theater-in-the-round stage with a volume of over 1 million US gallons, with its furthest depth at 27 feet. In fact, every member of the performance crew had to be scuba-certified.

There were more than 90 performers in the show. At one point, performers dived from heights of over 70 feet. There were also fire effects, coupled with a lot of diving. Franco Dragone is the mastermind behind Le Rêve. Regular people might not know his name. However, there is a probability that you have seen one of his shows. Franco Dragone poured all his creative energy into La Reve.

"Jersey Boys" at Paris Las Vegas (formerly at The Palazzo)

The story of the “Jersey Boys'' rise to fame is iconic. The musical walks its viewers through the story of a band called The Four Seasons. The performance from this group usually contains elements of dancing, comedy, and drama.

Their US$10 million production started running in 2008.  They moved from the Palazzo to Paris Las Vegas in Paris Las Vegas at the end of 2011. John Bentham, the show's lead producer, has been happy about the support that they have received over the years. When they perform at Paris Las Vegas, punters will hear mind-blowing songs like "Sherry", "Big Girls Don't Cry", and "Can't Take My Eyes Off of You".

People get to enjoy the story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. Viewers at the venue benefitted from four seating zones across two evening events. The available language translations include the following:

  •   German
  •   Spanish
  •   Japanese
  •   Portuguese

"KA" at MGM Grand Las Vegas

KA by Cirque du Soleil is hosted at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino. Without any intermission, the show runs for 90 minutes. The theme of the show depicts a set of twins (a girl and a boy) who are on an adventure to fulfill their conjoined destiny. The show depicts mind-blowing aerial moves, pyrotechnics, and iconic martial arts techniques. More than 1 million punters have viewed KA since its premiere in November 2004.

The creator and director of the show, Robert Laplace, got the inspiration for KA from an ancient Egyptian belief in a spiritual version of the body that lives inside a person in this world and the afterlife. The production and development cost was over US$165 million.

The Blue Man Group" at Luxor Las Vegas

The Blue Man group has been entertaining audiences since the late 80s. They combine shows of artistic wizardry and comedy with the use of percussion instruments such as PVC pipe drums. The show still runs regularly at Luxor Hotel and Casino Las Vegas.

The performers are known as Blue Men because their bodies are painted blue. They are also usually mute during shows. The storyline of their shows is based on science and technology, cultural norms, and information pollution.

Absinthe at Caesars Palace Las Vegas

A popular news outlet in Las Vegas has called Absinthe "the greatest show in Las Vegas history". It runs in Caesars Palace for 80 to 90 minutes with no intermission. Absinthe features a circus set up with comedy and racy dressing. The show is meant for mature audiences.

Final thoughts

There you have it! Some punters even go to casino resorts, simply to watch one of these shows. If you find yourself tired of online gambling, attend a brick-and-mortar betting resort and enjoy one of these shows. You won’t regret it.
