Experience the magic as Manhattan Concert Productions presents Anastasia: The Musical, the latest in its Broadway Series! With an all-star creative team led by Sarah Hartmann (Stage Director) and Tom Murray (Music Director), this one-night-only event features a 400-voice chorus, the New York City Chamber Orchestra, and a stunning cast, including Christy Altomare (Anya), John Bolton (Vlad), Jordan Donica (Gleb), Alex Joseph Grayson (Dmitry), Mary Beth Peil (Dowager Empress), and Rachel York (Countess Lily).
Joining them are an exceptional ensemble featuring Alex Aquilino, Sissy Bell, Lauren Blackman, Janet Dickinson, Brett-Marco Glauser, Thomas Henke, Ken Krugman, Victoria Madden, and Shina Ann Morris.
Special featured appearances by New York City Ballet’s own principal dancers Tiler Peck as Odette in Swan Lake, Roman Mejia, and Chun Wai Chan as her Swan Lake partners, add a mesmerizing touch to this already extraordinary lineup. Audiences can expect a moving, immersive experience as the performers breathe new life into the beloved characters and rich score of Anastasia. This stellar cast promises an unforgettable performance!
From Tony Award winners Terrence McNally, Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens, Anastasia sweeps audiences from the twilight of the Russian Empire to the euphoria of 1920s Paris. The story follows the brave and determined Anya as she embarks on a journey to uncover the mystery of her past. But her quest is complicated by a ruthless Soviet Officer, who is determined to silence her. With the help of a dashing con man and an endearing former aristocrat, Anya sets off on an extraordinary adventure to find home, love and family.
