A Dream Within A Dream: A Burlesque Tribute to the Works of Edgar Allan Poe at The Parkside Lounge

“There is no exquisite beauty… without some strangeness in the proportion.” The exquisite, strange beauty Clara Coquette celebrates her birthday and the birthday of one of America’s greatest writers, Edgar Allan Poe. Born in Boston on January 19th, Poe’s short, dark life, strife with depression, poverty, and alcoholism, provided an influence for his ominous stories and poetry. Clara Coquette brings Poe’s works of mystery and macabre to life with tributes to the literary classics of “The Raven”, “The Masque of the Red Death”, “The Tell-Tale Heart”, and many more tales.
