The League of Professional Theatre Women is proud to announce 30 Plays Celebrate 30 Years, honoring the 30th Anniversary of the League. 30 brand-new plays, musicals & theatrical events, curated by League members, will be presented in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens & beyond.
From site specific theatre on the prairie in central Canada, to the unveiling of a new play in London; from downtown at the New York Theatre Workshop, the Cherry Lane & HERE to Memphis & a theatrical walking tour in Central Park, this year-long series of theatrical events, coordinated by LPTW members Rachel Reiner & Deborah Savadge, celebrate the creativity of women theatre artists worldwide!

Four short pieces examining the human spirit & assorted ways to die... by old age, by poison gas, by disease & by choice.

Interart Theatre ~ 500 W. 52nd St. @ 10th Ave.
Curated by Jessica Burr
The Storm by Aleksandr Ostrovsky; translated & adapted by Laura Wickens; directed by Jessica Burr. Called the most poetic of all Russian plays, The Storm is a dangerous fusion of romance & immorality unleashed as its heroine attempts to escape her loveless marriage through forbidden passion while living in a small town full of hypocrisy & righteousness. The intensity of Ostrovsky’s story & Wickens’ choice of language, rhythm & scene structure, combine to create a play that is resonant, moving & surprisingly funny.
Tickets are available at www.blessedunrest.org, using the discount code "LPTW."
