|the claque| announced today that |the claque| reads, their new monthly reading series, will begin tonight, June 13th at 7:00pm at the non-profit midtown performance space, The Tank. Every month, your favorite arts and performance conglomerate will be presenting the works of burgeoning writers who, in the spirit of our mission, are bringing us innovative and engaging works to share with our audience, allowing us to strengthen our ever-growing artistic community.
The series will kick off on Thursday, June 13th with The Morning After by Erica Saleh. As Saleh describes her work, "Nora is a feminist. Nora is not a victim. Nora is doing okay...until a night full of questionable decisions makes her reconsider her understanding of her self, her choices, and her labels." This performance will be followed by Crying for Lions by Andrew Kramer on Sunday, July 14th and Binoculars by Dan McCabe on Sunday, August 11th. Stay tuned for future monthly readings from Cory Finley, Nick Gandiello, Jess Hinds, Matthew Jellison, Tony Meneses, and Lauren Yee.
All performance will take place at The Tank, 151 W. 46th Street, 8th floor. Attendance to the performances are on a pay-what-you-can basis.
