Before there was the instant fame-machine of X-Factor, America's Got Talent, or The Voice, Jason Downs dreamed of being a superstar. Once a child-star on track for fame and fortune, appearing in feature films (Hairspray, Clara's Heart with Whoopi Goldberg) and topping the charts as a country /hip hop recording artist, Jason Downs had and lost it all. Join him as he sings, dances, and shares his giddy rise to fame and hard-luck fall from grace.

Jason Downs (Playwright/Performer) has performed in commercials, music videos, Shakespeare touring companies, films, off-Broadway plays and TV shows from Hollywood to New York City to Sydney, Australia (and many places in between) over the past 30 years. He's done a lot of other things too, like fix toilets, design websites, tile bathrooms, teach, preach, eat lots of popcorn and watermelon, assist movie stars, produce fashion shoots and anything else that came along to make ends meet.
TOM BUTLER (Director) is a director, writer, and actor. He directs and teaches at universities around the country, including Long Island University, Willamette, and New York University. Recently, he staged a workshop of his play Levels of the Game at Studio Tisch. As an actor, he has performed both regionally (Berkshire Theatre Festival, Philadelphia Theatre Co., Portland Stage Co.) and in New York (Ohio Theater, Epic Theatre, Red Fern.). Education: BFA Brown University, MFA NYU Graduate Acting, NYU directing fellowship.
