Zombie clown Mullet is back from the dead and coming from Canada for a one-night, NYC, live late night talk show. Mullet's Night Show: Mullet Takes Manhattan, happens at The PIT tonight, April 28 at 11 pm.
Jean-Paul Mullet (www.meMullet.com) was born in 1726, died in 1747, and washed up onshore 100 years later. Now he performs live and on TV, stars in his own comics, and is one of the more sought after and respected clowns working in Toronto today. Credits include YTV's Zoink'd! and regular appearances on Ed & Red's Night Party as well as Ed the Sock's This Movie Sucks!, which won the 2011 Canadian Comedy Award for Best TV Show. He is a regular performer in the Toronto Festival of Clowns and has appeared in The Second City Toronto's Late Night Cabaret. Mullet's first play, the tragicomedy Mullet's Make-a-Play, premiered in the 2011 Toronto Fringe Festival to rave reviews.
Mullet's Night Show : Mullet Takes Manhattan is a live cabaret done in the style of a late night television talk show. It includes an opening monologue, sidekick, guests and desk.
Mullet will be joined by regular sidekick Robin Archer, who's also flying in from Canada and carrying Mullet's luggage. Special guests will be New York's own James & JF (www.jamesandjf.com), a duo who have been performing their unique and surreal comedy sketches locally and abroad for over two years. Also appearing will be Mullet's Make-a-Players, a rotating collective of improvisers who Mullet directs. For this special New York edition of the Night Show, Mullet is recruiting improvisers from The PIT with the help of PIT regular, Kathryn Dunn.
Mullet will perform at The PIT mainstage, located at 123 East 24th Street, New York. Tickets are $5. Call 212-563-7488 or visit www.thepit-nyc.com for details.
