Zoe Maltby's New Play MY PARENTS ARE HERE TONIGHT to Premiere at Access Theatre Gallery Space

Three Girls and a Boat proudly presents "my parents are here tonight" a new play by Zoe Maltby premiering at the Access Theater from October 12-21, 2017. Tickets are now on sale.

Directed by Liz Power, the cast features Molly Dillon, Campbell Dunsmore, Anna Clare Kerr, Joseph Huffman, and Marcella Pereda.

"my parents are here tonight" is a 90-minute play set in the dressing room/green room/costume closet during the final performance of North Salem High School's improbably expensive, ultra high-concept adaptation of King Lear, grandly entitled "Aspects of Lear! (A Play in Five Acts)." Through quick changes, dance numbers, and the magic of Avril Lavigne, "my parents are here tonight" captures the joys and (mostly) horrors of an adolescence lived backstage.

The creative team includes scenic and lighting designer Lucas Ingram, costume designer Sophie Costanzi, sound designer Gabe Lozada, and stage manager Abraham Marlett. Allie Carieri is the lead producer and general manager, and Grace Merriman is producing and director of marketing.

MORE ABOUT THE CAST AND CREATIVES:

Zoe Maltby (Playwright) is a writer and performer from Sleepy Hollow, NY, which is why she's such a spooky lady maybe? Zoe is an alumna of the Northwestern University Playwriting Certificate and the Kenyon College Playwrights Conference. Recent acting credits include Hilary: The Music Video, Innocent or Otherwise (SAG-AFTRA pilot), and a commercial or two. Zoe's play Reunion had its NYC debut in August with Off With Her Head Productions.

Liz Power (Director) is a New York-based director and new works dramaturg. She has assistant directed at Ensemble Studio Theatre and Keen Company and has read scripts for EST and Sesame Workshop. She is a graduate of Columbia University.

Molly Dillon (ENSEMBLE) received her BFA from NYU Tisch and her MA at LAMDA, and has appeared in various productions including I, Con (Winterfest Festival) and The Dirty Irish (Raucous Caucus Festival by Box Wine Theatre). mollydillonacting.com

Campbell (EDMOND) is stoked to be returning to high school, this time as a cool person (which she most certainly was not). TV/Film: "Boardwalk Empire", "Younger", "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel", "The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon", Off the Rails; Even After Everything. NY Theatre: Secondhand Shakespeare (West Village Play Festival), Confessions (Theatre for a New City). Campbell graduated from NYU with a degree in Political Science, and was trained at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting and Circle in the Square Theatre School.

Joseph Huffman (KENT) is an actor living in New York City. He loves creating work that is both risky and honest to the human condition. He is currently a "Bat" at The Flea Theater and continues to work in independent film and mainstream television. In his spare time Joe continues to pursue his pipe dream of becoming a competitive boxer.

Anna Clare Kerr (LEAR #8) is a New York based actor, harpist and (self proclaimed) tiramisu connoisseur. Recent theatre credits: they'll be callin us witches (Philadelphia Fringe, NYTW Radioactive Fest), Incorruptible (Joust), Morning Coffee (High Stakes), Sea/Sick (Artilliers), The Roaring Girl (Everyday Inferno), Love's Labours Lost (Shakespeare in the Valley, NH). Upcoming: independent film Human Disconnect. Anna was involved in previous readings of this play and is very excited to step into Lear 8's shoes again. BFA NYU/Atlantic '15. Bronx native, Sophie Costanzi (Costume Designer) is a costume designer, floral stylist and the founder of Philosophie Floral, a boutique floral design company in New York City. Her work has adorned numerous spaces across the city, from the Harvard Club of New York, to the New York Public Library. Lucas Ingram (Scenic and Lighting Designer) is primarily a freelance Art Director/Assistant Art Director. He has worked on projects such as The Tony Awards; Super Bowl 51 Halftime Show; Good Morning America; The Democratic National Convention 2016; The MTV VMA's; and many others. He has an MFA from the University of Iowa and a BA from Lehigh University. He is so excited to be working on this show since the show that inspired it was his first Lighting and Scenic Design in theatre back in 2007.

Allie Carieri (Lead Producer and General Manager) is a New York based producer and general manager. Past productions: Swipe Right/Swipe Left: A Humiliating and Empowering Return to Dating with Tessa and Hannah (Feinstein's/54 Below), Plath. (NYC Fringe), Much Ado About Nothing, The 120th Annual Varsity Show, Henry IV Part II, Cymbeline, HAIR: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical (Columbia), Lydia and Tom: A New Musical (NYC Fringe); dozens of developmental and staged readings and workshops. She is a casting assistant at Stewart/Whitley. Past professional experience at Roundabout Theater Company, The Public Theater, "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon (NBCUniversal).

Grace Merriman (Producer, Marketing) is an NYC based actress, theatre- and filmmaker. She graduated from NYU Tisch with a BFA in Drama, where she studied at the Meisner Studio, Playwrights Horizons Theatre School and Stonestreet Studios.
She is the Artistic Producing Director of Equal Truth Productions. Most recently she appeared as Nerissa in The Secret Theatre's production of The Merchant of Venice. Last April, Grace completed her first short film, Untitled Julia Stevens Project, which can be streamed now on Vimeo.
