Aspiring stage and screen writers will have the chance to discuss their craft with the successful team of Billy Van Zandt and Jane Milmore following the Thursday, December 16 performance of their Off-Broadway comedy, YOU'VE GOT HATE MAIL.

The talkback is free for people attending the performance at the Triad Theatre, 158 West 72 Street (at Amsterdam).

"Billy Van Zandt and Jane Milmore's titles are wildly popular with our customers, both in the professional and amateur markets," Leon Embry, Samuel French president and CEO said. "Their works continue to be performed around the country. Van Zandt and Milmore remain one of our most consistently produced comedic author duos."

The success of their plays led Bob Newhart to hire the duo for his popular "Newhart" television series. What followed was a 22-year career of writing and producing some of TV's best-loved programs.

YOU'VE GOT HATE MAIL is a broadband comedy of errors that examines the world of online hook-ups and break-ups. In YOU'VE GOT HATE MAIL, love "bytes" all when an extra-marital affair goes horribly wrong, thanks to a juicy e-mail left sitting on a desktop. The story is told entirely in e-mails from laptop computers, although the play still manages to have an unforgettable chase scene - thanks to Blackberries and iPhones.

Show Business Weekly called YOU'VE GOT HATE MAIL a "brilliantly written comedy!" Writing for CultureCatch.com, Jay Reisberg said "This is 'farce' in the best theatrical sense. I haven't enjoyed theater like this since the days of the late Charles Ludlum and his Ridiculous Theatrical Company."

Tickets ($30 - $35) are available by calling SmartTix at 212-868-4444 or online at www.SmartTix.com. Additional performances are planned for December 30, January 14 and February 11. The production plans on announcing an expanded schedule in the spring.
