The award winning Wagner College Theatre, as part of its Golden Jubilee Season and its New Works Agenda, presents Mouth Pieces from October 11 through 14 at the Stage One Studio Theatre. WCT Professor Theresa McCarthy directs.

An original piece with music by Allison Leyton-Brown and book and lyrics by Sophia Chapadjiev, The Mouth Pieces is a triptych of separate but intrinsically linked musicals. The three stories explore topics of love, despair, self confidence, and connection.

Theory of Kiss: Level-headed Scientist Claire and like-minded Scientist Ray have spent their entire lives dissecting, examining and quantifying the results. But what happens when they are tasked with researching the latest scientific theory on kissing?

On Teeth and Longing: A man decays from the inside. A woman is unable to smile. Two kindred spirits both born with gums. If only he would look left. If only she would look right.

Pilgrimage to the Mouth: Dia collects mouths. No, not literally. But when the Perfect Mouth whispers to her online, she feels an urge to follow her instinct and find that mouth.

Mouth Pieces cast features Madi Asgeirsson (Hygienist, Scientist Claire, and Becks), Emily Barkovic (Woman, Scientist/Others, and Dr. Millicent), Ross Coughlin (Man, Scientist/Others, and Male Chorus), Maggie Eley (Hygienist, Scientist/Others, and Holly), Aaron Frongillo (Dentist, Scientist Ray, and Male Chorus), Kelly Hedden (Hygienist, Scientist/Others, and Mouth), and Hayley Hemminger-Martin (Hygienist, Scientist/Others, and Dia).

The creative team includes WCT alum Joshua Sottile '16 (Music Director), Matt Hervilly (Scenic and Prop Design), Lydia Rumowicz (Costume Design), Lexi Takaki (Lighting Design), Vanessa Rebeil (Production Stage Manager), Tina Truong (Assistant Stage Manager), and Dana Rudnansky (Assistant Stage Manager/Dramaturg).

Mouth Pieces will be presented at WCT Stage One Theatre (located behind the Wagner College Football Stadium), with performances Thursday, October 11 at 8:00pm, Friday, October 12 at 8:00pm, Saturday, October 13 at 2:00pm and 8:00pm, and Sunday, April 8 at 2:00pm. Tickets $10 (general admission) the Wagner College Box Office at (718) 390-3259.
