WWTNS? Return To HERE For SOURCES OF LIGHT OTHER THAN THE SUN

What Will The Neighbors Say? is excited to announce the the first full production of our 2018-2019 season, a limited engagement run of Founding Co-Artistic Director Sam Hood Adrain's play Sources of Light Other Than the Sun on the Mainstage at HERE. Originally presented as a workshop production at the Hudson Guild Theatre in 2016, the play's Off-Broadway debut marks the centenary of the Armistice that ended WWI, and WWTNS?'s second show at HERE this year. The production is a part of SubletSeries@HERE: Co-op, HERE's curated rental program, which provides artists with subsidized space and equipment, as well as technical support Sources of Light Other Than the Sun will play at HERE, 145 6th Ave, New York, 10013 from December 7th-9th with shows on Friday and Saturday at 8.30pm and on Sunday at 4pm.

Sources of Light Other Than the Sun is an unnerving and unrelenting examination of five weeks in the trenches on the Western Front of WWI. The story concentrates on the lives of four young soldiers enduring all the horrors of modern warfare: a generation trying to make sense of the new and chaotic world that is forming around them. The cast is comprised of fellow Co-Artistic Directors James Clements and Ana Cristina Schuler, who will be joined by WWTNS? frequent collaborator Portland Thomas and Maggie Thompson as the four soldiers, with direction by Jill Carlucci. Lighting will be designed by Elizabeth M. Stewart with sets, props and costumes by Lauren Barber, both of whom worked on the 2016 workshop. Co-Artistic Director Jorge Morale Picó will design sound and video. Hood Adrain, Clements, Morales Picó and Schuler are producing for What Will the Neighbors Say?
