IAAM Productions will present "Two Dark Comedies by Edward Allan Baker" - Mafia on Prozac and The Seventeenth of June, at Theater 3 on July 25th for five performances only at Theater Three (311 W. 43rd St.). Both plays are directed by Doug MacHugh.
In Mafia on Prozac, "You await your fate in a burlap sack over looking the water on a pier in Rhode Island, while two hit men are debating whether or not to kill you… and that of course depends on their interpretation of a dream message from an unusual angel…Al Capone," as the play is described in press materials. In The Seventeenth of June, "Dee's abusive husband Ant is dead, and she's filled with guilt. Will her sisters be able to console her? Will she go back with the nerd downstairs who rescued her? Or, will she manage to speak with Ant one more time? With humor and suspense, Edward Allan Baker takes us on an emotional journey with startling revelations."
Featured in the cast are Tom Cappadona, Jake Myers and Joe Wissler (Mafia on Prozac), and Suzanne DiDonna, Hannah Snyder-Beck, Wayne Stills and Darlene Violette (The Seventeenth of June).
