Trigger Creative, in association with The Present Company, as part of the 16th Annual New York International Fringe Festival, presents the World-premiere REDlight – documentarIan Ryan Kipp's journey into the loves, lives and loses of the performers and patrons of one of Atlanta's most notorious gay strip clubs, as viewed through the eyes of a heterosexual dancer at the club – Mr. Kipp himself. REDlight is directed by Jennifer Tuttle and Marc Santa Maria, with choreography by Carol Johnson.

Please be advised – REDlight contains full frontal male nudity.

In the style of Anna Deavere Smith and Eric Begosian, REDlight is award-winning documentarIan Ryan Kipp's solo play drawn from his time as a heterosexual stripper in the only all-male, all-nude gay strip club on the Eastern seaboard.

Ryan Kipp served as the Artistic Director for The Other Theatre, a professional company whose productions included both classical and modern texts. Kipp then worked regionally as a professional actor at companies such as Florida Studio Theater and The Alliance Theater Company in Atlanta, GA. Seeking to create more of his own work he formed 89 Second Productions, and has dedicated most of his time to producing GLBTQ themed films. Ryan's first documentary short, "The Collector," won Best Documentary at the 2011 NYC Downtown Short Film Festival.

Jennifer Tuttle's directing credits: The Seafarer, Shout!, Arsenic and Old Lace, The Sound of Music and The Music Man. She has studied with Patsy Rodenburg, Kari Margolis, members of the RSC and the Stratford Festival Company, at the Dell Arte School of Physical Theatre, and at the Moscow Art Theatre (MHAT).

Marc Santa Maria has been acting in NYC for over a decade appearing in diverse projects ranging from musicals like The Karaoke Show (dir. Diane Paulus) to classics such as Three Sisters (dir. Gerald Glackin) and As You Like It (dir. Andrew Eisenmann). He originated the role of Leo in Melisa Tien's Refrain, directed by Jessi D. Hill and has acted in productions featured at the Fringe Festival, the Midtown International Festival, HERE, the Looking Glass, The Wild Project and the Ohio Theatre.

Carol Johnson has performed with Phish at Madison Square Garden, Disney World, New York University, Pennsylvania Dance Theatre, and can be seen in the feature film "Mad Hot Ballroom". She holds a Master of Arts from New York University in Dance and Dance Education and has choreographed and taught in a variety of NYC public and private schools including The Frank Sinatra School of the Arts and The Dalton School.

Performances of REDlight will run Friday, August 10 at 7:00pm; Wednesday, August 15 at 4:00pm; Thursday, August 16 at 9:30pm; Saturday, August 18 at 4:30pm; Saturday, August 25 at 5:00pm; Sunday, August 26 at 4:00pm at Fringe Venue #06 – The White Box at 440 Studios (440 Lafayette St, 3rd Floor) in Manhattan.
