Following its critically acclaimed smash hit take on William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, Long Island City-based Titan Theatre Company announced today casting and the creative team for the next production in its highly anticipated second season, the world premiere of Angela Iannone's This Prison Where I Live. The production will have an extremely limited week long engagement at The Secret Theatre in Long Island City, January 22-26, 2014.
This Prison Where I Live, which is the second play in Iannone's "Edwin Booth Trilogy", transports audiences to Edwin Booth's 1879 run of William Shakespeare's Richard II at the McVicker Theatre in Chicago where stirring drama unfolds as the ghost of Booth's infamous brother, assassin John Wilkes Booth, pays a visit to Edwin at the McVicker. Titan presented a sold out reading of the first play in Iannone's trilogy, The Edwin Booth Company Presents, at the Player's in New York City in January 2013.
The cast of This Prison Where I Live stars Reese Madigan (Broadway's Holiday, Abe Lincoln in Illinois) as Edwin Booth as well as Titan company member Tristan Colton as John Wilkes Booth. The cast will also feature Titan Theatre Company Alums Tressa Preston as Mary McVicker, Susan Maris as Mary Delvin, and Jake Russo as Mark Grey.
This Prison Where I Live is produced by Titan Theatre Company Managing Director Kevin Beebee.
The creative team for This Prison Where I Live features Alan Piotrowicz (Lighting Design), Jesse Michael Mothershed (Assistant Director), Jasmine Roberts (Set Design), Liz Lundberg (Scenic Artist), Jessica Wallin (Props Design) and Katherine White (Stage Management). Angela Iannone will direct the work.
