Broadway Bound Theatre Festival has just added three new plays to its line-up "Josie in the Bardo" by Coni Koepfinger, and "The Goblet" by Liz Amadio, both directed by Glenora Blackshire. "All About Image" by Marcina Zaccaria, directed by Alisa Matlovsky.
"Josie" played by Beth Griffith, features the sultry music of Joe Izen to soundtrack the life and beyond of a jazz singer who is attempting to make a comeback after rehab.
"The Goblet" is an absurdist comedy that explores the underpinnings of women's identity in tragic irony. It's an interesting twist on familial love, hi-lights the talents of Liz Amadio, Cheryl Bear, and Byron C. Saunders. In "The Goblet," a bereaved Monica finds her own brand of solace, her family just doesn't understand.
"All About Image" by Marcina Zaccaria, directed by Alisa Matlovsky is a close-up into the world of the photographers who break the mold. Feeling uncompromised, they compete to remain relevant in a landscape of fiercely profound Image Makers, building a complex dialectic that considers politics, post-Obama Administration ethics, and protocols for survival.
