Theater For The New City will present Blind Angels by Dick Brukenfeld today, February 6-March 2. In this nail-biting drama directed by Melissa Attebery, a Jewish newsman (inspired by Daniel Pearl) is taken prisoner by a trio who are hitting New York with "a small catastrophe to prevent a larger one." The twist is, he has long relationships with two of his three "hosts." Not the usual suspects, they are integrated, successful, secular Muslims. Two are ivy league educated jet setters. Blind Angels explores why people who enjoy our way of life would turn against this country.
The cast of Blind Angels features Scott Raker*, Francesco Campari, Qurrat Ann Kadwani*, Alok Tewari*, and Cynthia Granville*.
The Blind Angels production staff features Alan Hanna (Assistant Director/Stage Manager), Brandon McNeel (Set Design), Alexander Bartenieff (Lighting Design), Sylianne Shurman (Costumes), Giovanni Villari (Fights), and Anthony Mattana (Original Music and Sound Design).
Blind Angels will run Thursdays thru Saturdays at 8:00 PM, and Sundays at 3:00 PM. All performances will take place at Theater for the New City at 155 First Ave. at East 10th Street in New York City. The show runs 90 minutes plus intermission.
