The Vagabond Theatre Ensemble presents Hangman School for Girls in association with Fullstop Collective. The show will feature Nick Afka, Louiza Collins, Lucy Gillespie, Sarah Ann Masse, Lillian Meredith, and Briel Pomerantz. The production will play at Manhattan Theatre Source (177 MacDougal Street), March 10-27, Thursday through Saturday at 8pm and Sundays at 3pm with additional performances on Monday, March 22 at 8pm and Saturday, March 27 at 2pm. Playright, Lucy Gillespie is a 24 year-old Anglo-American writer and performer. Hangman School for Girls is her first full-length play. Her second play, The Atwater Project (Working Title) is a fictionalized study into the demise of bogeyman politician Lee Atwater and is currently in development with terraNOVA Collective's Groundbreakers Program. Lucy has written a novella, The Pith and the Peel, about a woman who kills and eats her husband, as well as several short stories. She holds a BA from Northwestern University in Theater and Fiction Writing, and has studied under Stuart Dybek, Sheila Donohue, Madeleine George, Colman Domingo, and Laura Schellhardt. While at Northwestern, she served as Literary Manager for VertiGo Productions, a student theater company with a focus on original works which produced such writers as Emily Chaddick Weiss (YoungBlood), and Matt Sax (Clay, recently produced by LCT3).

In addition The Vagabond Theatre Ensemble has produced many readings and one-night-only performances, a monthly comedy open mic, and an annual burlesque/variety show.
