Pam Murphy's one woman show, The C Word, is coming back to the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre on Mondays May 9th and 16th, at 8 PM. The C Word was named BEST SOLO SHOW OF 2010 by Time Out NY.
Time Out NY says, "The C Word is neither sentimental nor detached, only un?inching and
very, very funny." Ladies' Home Journal says. "Murphy was aiming for honesty and she totally nailed it while still managing to get lots of laughs." The Apiary praises Murphy's show as one that "balances the ridiculous and the relatable" and according to The Comic's Comic "You're going to laugh plenty at this show. This comedy show about cancer."
Pam Murphy (Late Night with Jimmy Fallon) was an amazing woman, then she got breast cancer. Whoops. Now, as an even more amazing woman, Pam shares her story through comedy. Take a journey with Pam as she capitalizes on the worst thing that's ever happened to her. Through a series of characters, including various versions of herself. Pam takes you on a very honest journey through her experience with breast cancer. Yes, this show is about breast cancer, but you know, in a funny way. Directed by Rebecca Drysdale (LOGO, HBO, MTV, Jim Hensen Company.)
