The Entity In Association with Christina Tyler will present "The Tragedy of Tupac Amaru Shakur" or "Who Shot Me?" for two performances, Tuesday, September 13th at The Triad Theatre, 158 West 72nd Street. This commemorative performance on the 15-year anniversary of the deceased rapper's passing is written principally by George Carroll with Christina Tyler, (who also serves as Executive Producer) and directed by Valerie Donaldson.
"The Tragedy of Tupac Amaru Shakur" is a riveting portrayal of Shakur's journey from humble beginnings to international fame and the ultimate price he paid for it all.
Told in linear fashion "The Tragedy of Tupac Amaru Shakur" or "Who Shot Me?" features actor, screenwriter, playwright, Damian Bailey (All My Children) in the role of "Tupac," 2012 "Miss New York" Candidate, Stephanie LaCapra as Tupac's Black Panther, poet, actress, mother, "Afeni Shakur," and Anthony Williams as "Little Tupac."
Portraying the iconic characters known to have associated with Shakur such as "Suge Knight," "Mike Tyson" and many others, the ample acting ensemble includes: AaRon Walker, Dan Burkharth, Eddie Robinson, Fahim Hamid, Gustavo Cabezas, Hector Hicks, Joseph Herbozo-Esper, Joshua Rivera, Michael Pichardo, Mia Smith, Melinda Grace, Meytal Navarro, Nowani Rattray, Z. Joseph Guice and Channing Jackson. Antoine Stanley understudies.
