Fantasy. Anxiety. Pabst Blue Ribbon. It's freshman year of college. Three 18-year-old girls head off to New England, cry saying goodbye to their moms, and fall madly and platonically in love with each other. Until a hate crime happens on campus-suddenly shedding light on their vast differences and how unprepared they are to handle them. Big-hearted and searingly funny, Let's Get Ready Together exposes the raw vulnerability of female friendships forged on the brink of adulthood.
The cast will feature Ruth Aguilar (Rancho Viejo at Playwrights Horizons), Rachel Joyce (F*ck Marry Kill with Less Than Rent/The New Ohio), and more to be announced.
The creative team will include Producers Maya Davis and Erin Mizer Helton, Set Design by Cate McCrea (Restaurant in D Major with Two-Headed Rep; Associate on Time and the Conways with Roundabout), Costume Design by Nicole Slaven (The Ballad of Ella May with The Working Theater), Sound Design by Valentine Monfeuga (Taylor Mac's Okay with Ugly Rhino; Assistant on The Rape of the Sabine Women with Playwrights Realm). The production Stage Manager will be Hanako Rodriguez.
