Viola has lost the last of her family in a shipwreck off the coast of Illyria. Desperate and alone, she disguises herself as a boy named Cesario and wins employment with the Duke, Orsino - with whom she promptly falls in love. Unfortunately, Orsino is smitten with the Countess Olivia and employs "Cesario" as the envoy of his affections. But Olivia falls for the messenger, leaving Viola to navigate a tricky path around Malvolio (Olivia's puritanical steward, who is trying to climb the social ladder into her bed), Sir Andrew Aguecheek (a rich and foolish knight, championed by Olivia's drunken uncle), and Feste (Olivia's disgruntled ex-jester, who may or may not have figured out the truth about Cesario's identity). For more information go to www.seeingplacetheater.com.
