The Seeing Place Theater, known for intense & intimate ensemble work, continues its 9th Season with two compelling short plays in one evening of theater: A NUMBER by Caryl Churchill is a beguiling hour-long psychological thriller that blends the controversial topic of cloning with a stunning portrait of the relationship between a father and his sons. 'NIGHT, MOTHER by Marsha Norman is an eloquent, enthralling and ultimately shattering short play that explores the final hour in the life of a young woman who has decided that life is no longer worth living.
"We're excited to pair these important plays together to offer a multi-faceted conversation about the nature of family," says Executive Artistic Director, Erin Cronican. "What happens to the root of the family when one person is pushed to the edge? And who is to blame when a child and parent are at odds? By pairing these two plays together for one event, we're deepening the audience's experience, drawing connections about family that they may not have seen otherwise."
A NUMBER stars Michael Stephen Clay and Brandon Walker. Directed by Erin Cronican. 'NIGHT, MOTHER stars Carla Brandberg and Erin Cronican. Directed by Brandon Walker. Lighting Design by Joyce Liao. Sound Design by Brandon Walker. Scenic and Costume Design by Erin Cronican. Stage Management by Mackenzie McGuire.
