The Newest Old Cocktail Lounge in Times Square announces the next events in its new "Bespoke Music" series; MOONAGE DAYDREAM, a night of piano tributes to David Bowie on Thursday, September 23, led by Benjamin Ickies (This Ambitious Orchestra, Oh! You Pretty Things) and BRILLIANT MISTAKE, a night of piano tributes to Elvis Costello on Monday, October 17, led by JC Hopkins (Grammy-nominated songwriter, JC Hopkins band.)

"The first Bespoke was an unqualified success," says Jonny Porkpie, who curates the Rum House's entertainment menu. "Benjamin, JC and all their special guests did Tom Waits all sorts of piano-based justice. You know, there might just be something to this idea of combining live entertainment and alcohol."

MOONAGE DAYDREAM begins at 10:00pm on Thursday, September 23. There is no cover for the event. The event is the second in the "Bespoke Music" event series, which focuses on the work of a different musician or genre each month. BRILLIANT MISTAKE follows on Monday, October 17 at 9:00pm. The Rum House Entertainment Menu is presented Monday through Saturday nights, with cocktail hour entertainment Monday throughThursday 6-8pm and late night entertainment Wednesday 8-10 and Thursday through Saturday starting at 9:30pm.

ABOUT THE FEATURED PIANISTS
September: Benjamin Ickies (Moonage Daydream) is a music director, accordionist and pianist active in the rock and cabaret communities. In New York City he is known by many as one of the preeminent interpreters of David Bowie. Ickies has deconstructed Bowie's music down to ragtime piano ditties which he plays at the Rum House, and has expanded them to his 22-piece symphonic rock band, This Ambitious Orchestra, at le Poisson Rouge, Highline Ballroom, Don Hill's and elsewhere. Ickies also produces the quarterly glam rock party Oh! You Pretty Things, which recently celebrated Queen for Freddie Mercury's 65th birthday.

October: JC Hopkins (Brilliant Mistake) Grammy nominated songwriter, pianist and bandleader, has had a history of working with great singers. He worked with Norah Jones, first as the singer of his legendary, JC Hopkins Biggish Band, and then writing material for her multi-million selling album, "Come Away With Me". He also composed the song "Dreams Come True" which she sang as a duet with country great Willie Nelson. In collaboration with Madeleine Peyroux he wrote many of the songs for the much-heralded Biggish Band album "Underneath a Brooklyn Moon." And recently he worked closely with Elvis Costello in a tribute to Mose Allison in which Elvis sang several songs with his band to a sold out and rapturous audience.
