"By the pricking of my thumb...Something wicked this way comes!"
After critically acclaimed productions this season of Twelfth Night, Much Ado About Nothing, and Euripides' The Bacchae, the Queens Players returns to the Secret Theatre main stage with a bloody and soul haunting retelling of William Shakespeare's Macbeth.
Director Alberto Bonilla's (director of our smash hit productions of Twelfth Night, The Three Sisters, and Servant of Two Masters) vision for this Druidic world of myth, magic, and warriors takes audiences through a whirlwind exploration of the dark, Celtic, and supernatural forces that cut right to the raw heart of Shakespeare's classic tale. Witness the noble corrupted into the bestial, ambition convert to guilt-ridden madness, and heroes rise from the ashes of despair. All the while the powers of what was, what is, and what will be rule over all and we learn that no man is more powerful than fate.
