The Directors Studio, a division of The Directors Company, presents True Art- a new play by Jessica Provenz, featuring Alysia Reiner, Stuart Zagnit, Amelia Pedlow, Patrick Edgar, and directed by Julie Kramer.

An art history student lands a dream job at a world-famous museum.

Alysia Reiner, recently seen in Wendy Becket’s A Charity Case Off-Broadway leads the cast of four. Reiner has also been seen Off-Broadway in the New York premiere of Pentecost and has also appeared on stage in An Oak Tree at the Barrow Street Theatre. She is best known for her film work, which includes "Sideways" and television appearances on "The Sopranos," "Law & Order," "30 Rock" and "White Collar."

Stuart Zagnit has been seen on Broadway in SEUSSICAL, THE WILD PARTY (also orig. cast recordings), THE PEOPLE IN THE PICTURE, THOSE WERE THE DAYS; Off-B’way: LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, ALL IN THE TIMING, LUCKY STIFF, A DYBBUK, THE GOLDEN LAND, KUNI-LEML, PICON PIE, THE GRAND TOUR; National tour: CRAZY FOR YOU, INTO THE WOODS, GRINCH , APPLAUSE, FALSETTOS. TV: “Blue Bloods,” “30 Rock,” all three “Law & Orders;” “Celebrity Ghost Stories.” Feature film: “According To Greta;” “Jingle Hell.”

Jessica Provenz: Plays include Andromeda, A Wake on Chappaquiddick, and Better than Chocolate developed at CCTP, Irish Rep, DR2, New Georges, Berkshire Playwrights Lab, Actors Studio, and Barrow Group. She is a two-time recipient of the Lecomte du Noüy Award for emerging playwrights, and was Playwright-in-Residence at Juilliard.

The Directors Studio, is the developmental division of The Directors Company designed to support the work of exceptional emerging directors and their projects.
