Earlier this month, the company under their Collective: Next Stage (C:NXT) banner presented staged readings of new plays as part of their WE THE PEOPLE program which we free and open to the public and supporting the following organizations Art Start, Planned Parenthood, and The Trevor Project.
As with every Collective production, C:10.4 is part of our NO EMPTY SEATS initiative, where up to half the seats for every performance are made available on a FREE and pay-what-you-can basis. NO EMPTY SEATS expands access to professional theatre, eliminating financial barriers to create a wider community and increase dialogue.
NO EMPTY SEATS is made possible through generous support and donations from people like you. Every $10 makes a seat available to someone who may not be able to afford it. Patrons can support the program in three ways: BUY tickets, make a DONATION, or FILL a seat. A donation of any size moves us closer to our mission of making theatre and the Arts Accessible for all.
Founded in 2007, THE COLLECTIVE NY unites professional artists who share a responsibility to create work in the contemporary American Theatre that is emotionally truthful, socially relevant, and defiantly accessible. Founding Members include Mike Houston, Kevin Kane, Amy Schumer, Robert Z. Grant and Victoria Dicce . Company credits include revivals of Ionesco's The Lesson, McGuinness's Someone Who'll Watch Over Me, and original productions 360, Me Equals This, Happy Girl and the television show Inside Amy Schumer.
