A life-long admirer of Russian playwright Anton Chekhov, Tennessee Williams often thought of directing a production of Chekhov's The Sea Gull. His chance to interpret the play finally was realized near the end of his life with the notebook of trigorin. Williams's genius, combined with the powerful Russian classic, creates a daring new concept for today's American theatre. This fresh look at the classic gets to the heart of the play: what is it to be an artist and in love?

The cast of The Notebook of Trigorin includes Ted Caine (Medvedenko), Meredith Forlenza (Nina), Charise Greene (Arkadina), Jeremy Lawrence (Sorin), Allen McCullough (Dorn), Henry Packer (Shamrayev), Amelia Pedlow (Masha), Renee Petrofes (Polina), Nicholas Ritacco (Yakov), Will Sarratt (Constantine), and Michael Schantz (Trigorin), and Liz Tancredi (Sasha.).

The Notebook of Trigorin has set design by Julia Noulin-Merat, costume design by Tony nominee Michael Krass (the lyons, the constant wife), lighting design by Libby Jensen, and sound design by Colleen Toole. The production manager is Forrest Leo, and the casting director is Lexie Pregosin.

The Attic Theater Company produces new plays and relevant classics that examine the American experience with compassion and conviction. Now in its fifth season, The Attic has presented numerous acclaimed productions, and offers a voice to developing writers through their Emerging Playwrights Program. Recent productions include Erica Lipez's THE TUTORS, THE TIME OF YOUR LIFE by William Saroyan, and the recent hit run at The Beckett Theater at Theater Row of THE MNEMONIST OF DUTCHESS COUNTY.
