Ten Years Of Secrets! An Amazing 10th Season at The Secret Theatre

The Secret Theatre is celebrating ten years of existence with a great season packed with great shows and productions. Not too shabby for an organization that started in 2005 with borrowed spaces, domestic track lighting and Home Depot dimmers!

Act One: One Act 2017

Begin the New Year with the annual 'Act One: One Act' Festival which features 30 plays in four programs competing to win the audience vote. Each show is performed 6 times through the 3-week production culminating in the Finals on January 28th when the short list of 8 plays go head to head.

Act One: One Act Festival 2017 runs from Jan 12 through January 28. Tickets $18

Cabaret

Last year the company produced A Chorus Line during its 40-anniversary year which led to 6 NYIT nominations then later in the Summer did The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and now are in rehearsal for another iconic musical, Cabaret which will have its on unique Secret spin.

Cabaret runs from February 2 through February 19. Tickets are $20 [$18 Advanced]

Flying Solo 5

Hard to believe but they are about to produce a fifth festival of solo or one-person shows. The variety and quality of shows and talent that is typical of Flying Solo festival is astounding. This relatively 'new' genre shows no signs of dimming in terms of popularity or brilliance.

Flying Solo 5 runs from March 8th through March 18 Tickets are $18 [$15 Advanced]

King Lear

Alberto Bonilla [The Merchant of Venice, Richard III] will once again helm a classic for the Secret. They have secured iconic actor/director Austin Pendleton to play Lear and have assembled a great cast. More exciting details later.

King Lear runs from March 23 - April 9 Tickets are $20 [$18 Advanced]

Last but not least! Children's shows are in Open Run

Pirate Pete's Parrot and Princess Particular enter their 4th successful year. Pete is the longest running show in Queens and Princess is a close 2nd! Each show plays once a month in a 2 week rotation.
