TOSOS (The Other Side of Silence) was nominated for four New York Innovative Theatre Awards at last night's nomination party at 42WESTny. Nominations include Outstanding Revival of a Play, and Outstanding Ensemble for Doric Wilson's Street Theater for its run at The Eagle NY. Kathleen Warnock's play The Further Adventures of... was nominated for Outstanding Short Script and Outstanding Ensemble. The Further Adventures of... opens this Friday, August 12, at the 20th Annual New York International Fringe Festival. The New York Innovative Theatre Awards will be awarded this fall in New York City.

TOSOS, founded by Doric Wilson (1939-2011), Barry Childs Producing Director, Mark Finley Artistic Director, is dedicated to preserving the theatrical heritage of the LGBT community through the development of new plays by emerging artists as well as revivals of established works. Their productions strive to honestly explore the unique LGBT experience and cultural sensibilities in a life-affirming and respectful way.
TOSOS is proud to present Kathleen Warnock's The Further Adventures of... as part of the 20th annual New York International Fringe Festival (FringeNYC). Award-winning Playwright Kathleen Warnock's work has been produced in New York, London, Ireland and regionally. Recent productions include Julie Andrews is The Devil at the International Dublin Gay Theatre Festival and Strivers in Astoria Stories at Astoria Performing Arts Center. Eric Chase, who directed last year's hit FringeNYC production of Possum Creek, directs. TOSOS's previous FringeNYC credits include the sold-out runs of And Sophie Comes Too in 2009 and The Secretaries in 2010.
Tune in again for The Further Adventures of... and follow Maggie Day as she uncovers the story of Commander Zoron and Prince Kal in the '50s sci-fi serial, Atlantis, 1 Million Years B.C., and the lives of actors who portrayed them, Drake Darling and Frank Gallagher, and follows their paths from a classic sci-fi show to the age of the Internet, revealing hidden secrets, lost loves, and things people couldn't say then (and maybe even now?).
The Further Adventures of... features a cast just nominated for Best Ensemble by the New York Innovative Theatre Awards: Tim Burke (The Wind Behind Us/TOSOS) as Prince Kal and Frank Gallagher; Mark Finley (director of the Off-Broadway hit Penny Penniworth) as Commander Zoron/Drake Darling and more; and Jamie Heinlein (Penny Penniworth/Off-Broadway & The Secretaries/FringeNYC) as intrepid reporter Maggie Day.
