THE THREE TIMES SHE KNOCKED, a brand new psychological thriller, premieres on August 13th at Manhattan Theatre Source, as part of the 2011 New York International Fringe Festival (FringeNYC -- a production of The Present Company).
The newest project from the team behind the upcoming off-Broadway transfer of JURASSIC PARQ: THE BROADWAY MUSICAL, (Best Overall Production/Musical, Fringe '10), THE THREE TIMES SHE KNOCKED is a play about unbridled passion and the destructive potential of sexual obsession by award-winning playwright, A.D. Penedo.
In this dark taut erotic two-hander laced with sardonic humor, married middle-aged Eric has become unhinged by the other-worldly desire he feels for Tara, an alluring young newlywed who recently has joined his PR firm. This overwhelming attraction forces Eric to unearth and confront anew a grim long-buried episode from his past which he is dead set upon not letting himself repeat this time around. His desperate strategy, which is to avoid personal interaction with Tara at all costs, begins to unravel as soon as she comes to his off
Ice To ask him a simple innocent question. From that point on, both Eric and Tara get sucked down a dizzying maelstrom of unbridled and unwelcome passion, which is unlikely to bode well for either of them.
