THE PASSENGERS Immersive Show Comes to The Players Club Image

After the 2018 breathtaking production of The Passengers, the show which expanded the actors' stories beyond stage, Decameron Art Studio is proud to announce the next premiere shows of The Passengers in New York.

The interactive autobiographical storytelling show The Passengers takes you on a "Trans-Siberian" journey inviting you to engage in re-experiencing your past and re-thinking your present through observation and interaction with actors, and leave "the train" with a deeper understanding of your own feelings. Actors will share their darkest secrets with complete strangers. Do you want to know a secret? We are all passengers on this section of road called life.

Three courageous actors have united to immerse you into what everyone is concerned with - Fear, Death, Weather Conditions and Cancer. What are you most afraid of? Is death enough to forgive someone? How can weather drastically change your life? And what does the word "cancer" really mean?

The show is based on true stories. Because the show of your life is a true story too, isn't it?

The Players Club is a private social club founded in New York City by the noted 19th-century Shakespearean actor Edwin Booth. In 1888, Booth purchased an 1847 mansion at 16 Gramercy Park, reserved an upper floor for his residence, and turned the rest into a clubhouse. The building's interior and part of its exterior were designed by architect Stanford White; its entryway gaslights are among the few remaining examples in New York City. It is the oldest club in its original clubhouse and was named a National Historic Landmark in 1962. The Players serves as a social club but is also a repository of American and British theatre history, memorabilia, and theatrical artifacts. You can get inside only by recommendation of one of the members of this community and buying a year membership or ... buying a ticket for "The Passengers" show, which will run there only two days - February 27 and 28.

The Passengers was first staged in Moscow in May, 2018. And got a second run in July. All the shows were sold out.

The production was inspired by the work of Eric Trules, a native New Yorker, solo performer, theater director & producer. He is an Associate Professor of Practice at University of Southern California's School of Dramatic Arts. In 2017 Eric came to Moscow to teach a workshop on storytelling. The LA Times has said about Trules' work: "Trules is an original. He turns his vivid writing into dark/comic lacerations building to the cosmic. His work reverberates with grit." He is also a TEDx speaker on creativity and self-expression.
