"THE DARK I KNOW", winner of the 2013 Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival National Musical Theater Award, takes the stage next week at the Midtown InterNational Theatre Festival. Starring Sabina Petra (recently Mrs. Potts in the Beauty and the Beast national tour) and Noah Parets* (recently Billy Elliot in the National Broadway tour Billy Elliot the Musical), this much anticipated, award-winning musical comes to life for six performances at the June Havoc Theater today, July 21-August 4.

Four years in the making, "THE DARK I KNOW" is an original musical that takes place in Germany during the early 1930s. Set amid the rise of the Nazi regime, the story revolves around two families, one Jewish, whose lives become irreversibly intertwined.

The story centers around Hannah, a journalist recently divorced from Max, a pro-Nazi military officer. Still reeling from the loss of her young son, she and her adopted son leave Berlin and move to Frankfurt to start anew. There she meets Aaron Freeman and his family. As they establish a relationship, they discover that this isn't the first time their lives have intersected.

"THE DARK I KNOW" is playing at the June Havoc Theatre, 312 West 36th St., New York, New York. Performances today, July 21, 27 and 28 are sold out. Tickets are still available for shows on Wednesday, July 31 at 8:30 pm; Saturday, August 3 at 3 pm; and Sunday, August 4 at 8 pm. With original book and lyrics by Alex Eisen and music by John Watts, "THE DARK I KNOW" is directed by Rachael Brandt and musical direction is by Alex Eisen. The creative team also includes: production stage manager, Chrissy Piontek; set design, Alyssa Manfredo; costume design, Brittany Merola; dramaturgy, Sara Lyons; light design, Megan Scafer; sound design, Eric Glauber; props master, Adrienne Call; fight choreography, Jonathan Buckmaster; assistant director, Jo'Lisa Jones; assistant stage manager, Manny Lopez.

The cast features: Sabina Petra, Ben Prayz, Ian Brodsky, Loren Moslin, Noah Parets*, Johnny DiGiorgio, Mike O'Connor, Patrick Spencer, Robert Gino, Warren Schein, James Hyland, and Griffin Bell.
