TADA! Youth Theater Celebrates 25th Anniversary Season with B.O.T.C.H, WIDE AWAKE JAKE & THE MAGIC POT

Featured in NY Magazine, NY Times, LA Times and the Wall Street Journal, the 2009 Drama Desk Award recipients and the Presidential "Coming Up Taller Award" winners TADA! Youth Theater (Janine Nina Trevens, Executive & Artistic Director), celebrates their 25th anniversary season with three musical productions. The season will begin with The Sneak Peak: A Musical Revue, followed by the main-stage productions of B.O.T.C.H., Wide Awake Jake and The Magic Pot: Three Tales from China at TADA! Theater in Manhattan.

The Sneak Peak: A Musical Revue (November 13 at 7PM; November 14 at 1PM)

B.O.T.C.H. (January 15 - February 15)
This jazz-styled musical follows the underground journey of artistic rats, dancing mummies and the kids of B.O.T.C.H., who lurk under the New York City subway system. Book and lyrics by Jon Agee, music by Daniel Feigelson, and directed by Janine Nina Trevens.

Wide Awake Jake (April 16 - May 23)
The story of a young boy who simply can't fall asleep, and the adventures he encounters on his quest for slumber. Book by Alice Elliot, music by Robby Merkin, lyrics by Faye Greenberg, and directed by Janine Nina Trevens.

The Magic Pot: Three Tales from China (July 9-August 4)
A New York premiere co-commissioned with the SteppingStone Theater in St. Paul, MN. A young girl finds herself in the middle of ancient tales, and her own extraordinary adventure, that teach her about life, honesty, and true happiness. Book, music and lyrics by Dane Stauffer, and directed by Janine Nina Trevens.

TADA!'s original productions employ professional directors, choreographers and designers who work with a multi-ethnic cast of NYC children (ages 8-18) who are members of the TADA! Resident Youth Ensemble. TADA!'s productions lauded by critics around the country including The Los Angeles Times who praised, "Colleran's songs ring out, and Greer's jazzy dances electrify;" and New York Magazine who said, "Since these young actors are a millisecond away from going pro, this is a good time to take a gander at stars on their way up."

For 25 years, the Drama Desk Award-winning TADA! Youth Theater has produced original musicals performed by kids aged 8-18 for family audiences. TADA! makes theater accessible through classes, school residencies, and a free youth development program for the most talented kids in the area. TADA! believes in giving every child the chance to explore and perform musical theater together in an artistic, educational, supportive and professional environment.

TADA! Theater, is located at 15 West 28th St., Second Floor (btwn Broadway and 5th Ave), NYC. General admission tickets for The Sneak Peak are $25 for adults and $15 for kids. Premium tickets are $75. For all other shows, premium tickets are adults $25, children $15.
