New York--The Spiral Theatre and Richard Skipper celebrate the nearly 50-year career of Broadway's legendary actress Sondra Lee ("High Button Shoes," "Peter Pan") at the Spiral Theatre (242 W 36th St.) on Tuesday, March 25 at 8 p.m. For tickets ($25), call 845-365-0720.
Lee, who originated the role of Tiger Lily in "Peter Pan," will grace the show to tell Skipper, via an onstage interview, "her extraordinary adventures--with a touch of humor and loving memories--recollections of trials and tribulations, countless series of short-lived and lifelong friendships, and romantic flings with the famous and not-so famous," according to a statement.
Lee's book, "I've Slept with Everybody: A Memoir," whose insights and wisdom can only come from an experienced actress with a great deal of charisma, says Amazon.com, will be available for purchase after the show.
Skipper, under the banner of "Richard Skipper Celebrates," has interviewed numerous iconic theater, film, television, and cabaret personalities for the past two decades. His most recent interview with Eileen Fulton, Lisa in "As the World Turns," just last month, received rave reviews.
Last January, Skipper brought the original cast members of 'Hello, Dolly" together, led by Broadway legend Carol Channing, for a two-day special event in the city.
Skipper has conducted onstage interviews with Julie Budd, Ms. Channing, Jackie Joseph, Tommy Tune, Ron Young, Peggy Pope, and more.
