Sonnet Repertory Theatre is proud to announce its first annual summer theatre experience for children: Midsummer's Play - a five-day program for 7-10 year olds. By exploring their own voices, imaginations and senses of movement, children will learn to participate in an ensemble.

During the five-day camp, each student will have the chance to delve into the language of one of Shakespeare's sonnets, while also exposing them to the theatrical elements of acting, voice and movement, as well as provide them with the chance to learn about yoga. Midsummer's Play will culminate by offering parents the opportunity to observe the exercises of their sons and daughters on the final day of class.
Sonnet Repertory Theatre's goal is to foster an environment of collaboration and cooperation, one in which the processes of learning and playing are as valued as performing itself. In addition to being a must for any aspiring star, the life skills including taught (including self-expression, teamwork, leadership, spontaneity, creative thinking and overcoming insecurities) are invaluable to everyone.
