A site-specific MACBETH, Shakespeare's bloodiest tragedy, will be presented for a very limited engagement by Shelter Theatre Group, January 26th through January 30th, 2014, at The Church of Saint Teresa, located on Rutgers Street between East Broadway and Henry Street. All performances will be at 7:00 PM.

This powerful and emotionally intense play about unbridled ambition and metaphysical machinations will be directed by Julia Campanelli, Artistic Director of Shelter Theatre Group. Tim Eliot (Boardwalk Empire) stars in the title role, with Careena Melia (Sleep No More) as his ruthless Lady Macbeth, and multiple OBIE award winner Everett Quinton in the dual roles of Duncan and Hecate. The cast also features Virginia Baeta, Kelly Bartnik (Sleep No More), David Hywel Baynes, Kaaron Briscoe, Amy Driesler, Susannah Hoffman, Theresa McElwee, Rob Najarian (Sleep No More), Annie Paul, Sai Somboon (Sleep No More), and Christopher J. Staley.

The production design is by Ms. Campanelli, and has costume design by Liz McGlone, fight choreography by Rob Najarian, set paintings by Anthony Ernest Kieren, and live percussion accompaniment by Kazuki Kozuru-Salifoska.

Shelter Theatre Group is dedicated to equality on stage, by giving theatre artists more opportunities, especially in classic theatre, thru gender-reversed, color-blind, and age-blind casting. Shelter Theatre Group's inaugural production featured film and TV star Mackenzie Phillips, in her New York stage debut.
