Scandinavian American Theater Company presents the SATContemporary Reading Series. Next up in SEASON #3 - READING #1 - DENMARK is GORILLA by Danish/American playwright Rhea Leman on MONDAY, October 1st @ 8PM. Pre-reception starts 7.30PM. Five top male managers meet in their company’s country lodge, to complete what they want to believe to be: a harmless series of weekend workshops focusing on team building and gender related issues run by The company’s female coach.

Instead, they are confronted with their team’s poor fiscal results and even though they blame the global financial tsunami for their weak performance, they are slowly forced to see the greed and personal ambitions that have driven some of them to this devastating dead end in their career and private lives.

Rhea Leman, (B.F.A and M.F.A.) born and raised in NYC, studied and performed theater and dance until moving to Denmark after marrying her Great Dane thirty-years ago. Since then she has been working as playwright, director, educator in theater, television and radio. The Cultural Minister appointed her as Chairman for The Danish Theater, Art & Dance Council (2003-07). Five of her recent plays will be produced in Denmark during the next theater season. Amongst others; HITLER ON THE ROOF, THE BOOTS OF STALIN and GORILLA.
