In these divided times that we are currently living in, there is a hunger for women to value their voices and not just step into their power, but unleash their unique superpowers. Melissa M. Jones Productions, The Producers Circle, and the global non-profit, the SuperYou FUNdation are proud to present SuperYou the Musical -- a story about a female comic book artist who learns to love herself when her superheroine creations, who are all aspects of herself, come to life. Created and written by visionary NYC artist and humanitarian, Lourds Lane, who also co-stars as one of the characters, Rise, the musical takes the viewer on the protagonist's journey of self-discovery, redefining the meaning of "superheroes" and celebrating the world-changing "superpowers" within each of us. With an instantly singable anthemic pop/rock musical score, SuperYou the Musical is a heartwarming love story that will entertain, inspire, and transform, both females and males, of all ages.

Led by the esteemed music director/pianist/conductor Wendy Bobbit Cavett (Come From Away, Hamilton, Mama Mia on Broadway), the explosive musical cast consists of the following performers from Broadway and beyond: Kennedy Caughell who plays Katie (The Great Comet, u/s to Carole King in Beautiful on Broadway); Mimi Ryder who plays Young Katie (starred as Matilda on Broadway, stars as Young Elsa in Frozen on Broadway); Nicolette Hart who plays Seven (tours with Bette Midler, Rent and Legally Blonde on Broadway); Lavon Fisher Wilson who plays Ima-Mazing (from Newsies and Chicago on Broadway); Molly Tynes who plays Lola Touche' (from Pippin on Broadway); Brie Cassil who plays Blast (from Marvelous Wonderettes), NYC theatre and film actor Timothy Fraser who plays Matty, and the musical's creator and composer, Lourds Lane, who plays Rise.
"The growing unrest in our world stems from the fact that we look outside ourselves to find our superhero, and when we don't feel 'saved,' we point our fingers and blame," says Lourds. "SuperYou the Musical is part of a larger global mission, that includes education, theater, music, speaking engagements, and writing, to spark a revolution from within. We need to value our unique voices and remember the superpowers we already have. What makes us superheroic is our creativity, our kindness, our integrity, our courage, our resilience... our love."
Witness Superhero power in action at the SuperYou Musical on April 22nd! Get ready for an empowering evening of music and mission where women's voices will sing out loud and proud, hearts will be opened, and life will be celebrated!
