About The Show
Meet. Perform. Connect. Drink. This January, SLAM is back in a new format!
Part live theatre game, part battle royale, SLAM is the friendly competition where the stage is the battleground, a free night in our mid-town performance space is the prize and new work is always the winner.

Playwrights are given five minutes to showcase their work before our panel of industry professionals and an audience for a chance at a free evening in the Tank's theatre space. The competition takes place over four weeks -- a three-week elimination round where the top six plays advance to Finals in week four.

PLAYWRIGHTS bring your work:
No Sign up, anyone can participate--the first 10 plays thru the door compete. Please bring enough scripts to perform your selection with start and stop places clearly marked.

ACTORS bring your talent:
Simply drop your name in the hat. Each play is cast at random - actors enter the hot zone where talent meets instinct and plays are lived unrehearsed and in the moment.

AUDIENCE bring your voice:
After each selection, judges and audience members are invited to give feedback and encouragement.
